Have you recently watched Goop labs on Netflix? If you haven’t it’s worth checking out if you’re into alternative healing and more outside the box methods of healing. I loved it.
One episode featured an energy practitioner, John Amaral. You’ll be amazed or skeptical depending on where you’re coming from on this matter. His overall goal is to bring you out of fight-or-flight to flow.
He treats the patient by placing his hands over the person’s body and reading where there is blocked energy. He then moves the energy out of their body and simultaneously the person in involuntarily moving their body in the area that he has his hands over.
The person doesn’t see his hands or where they are as in some cases the person is face down on the table. It really is a crazy thing to see. Some people are making audible noises as they release stored energy from their fields.
But, more so it piqued my interest. We are all energy after all and I’ve recently been drawn to learn more about quantum physics, fell down that awesome rabbit hole, and am just fascinated by all of it.
That led me to research and dig and learn all that I can, that’s what I do. So I started down the path.
First, I wanted to know more about this doctor. He is a D.C. or doctor of chiropractic and created the energy flow formula. He’s been practicing this type of energy work for 25 years according to his bio.
I wanted to experience this for myself so I signed up for his free 7-day challenge through his website. I’m not an affiliate just directing you where to go.
After signing up I received the first welcome email and then received a separate email with link and login info to the member page for access. After that point, the videos were unlocked daily.
Initially, I did the first few days separately. Then I found I preferred to do a few back to back for added benefit but you don’t have to. The videos are about 10 minutes and don’t require too much time. Do what works best for you.
The 7 Day Challenge
First Day – Life Force Energy
I followed the instructions and found it pretty easy to follow long. If you’ve meditated then this will not be a foreign concept to you. You’re guided on how to feel your energy field and do a scan of your body.
In doing this scan you find the area that speaks to you or you’ll feel where the energy is heavy or dense. I definitely felt the difference between the dense energy in my lower abdomen then say my heart or chest area.
You read that right, I felt the energy. This only kept my interest but I was hooked on continuing to the next day.
Second Day – Emotional Energy
Release built up emotions by using sound and movement.
Third-Day – Lower Mind Energy
Focus energy to remove stuck feelings that are keeping you from getting things done.
Fourth – Heart Energy
Work on opening your heart energy through some movement and sound.
Fifth – Higher Mind Energy
This day you really start to incorporate your breathing with creating energy. You’ll begin to really feel the energy building up which will get you ready for the last few days of the challenge.
Sixth – Soul Energy
You’ll utilize your breathing and meditation by focusing on your third eye chakra.
Seventh – Infinite Energy
You do this exercise standing up and connect with the energy around you.
All of these practices are 7-9 minutes long as he walks you through each day.
My Thoughts
I think doing these energy movements/meditations in a sequence would be a great practice. As someone who also practices yoga, I see a lot of connection to the breath and movement to get your energy moving. This challenge isn’t physical but more a meditative energy practice with some sound and movement.
Overall I enjoyed it. Yes, I did feel my energy field. I didn’t question this part as much as I’ve experienced it before through Reiki and meditation. It was the physical response that people, in the Netflix episode, received that interested me. You won’t get to that point in this challenge, at least I didn’t.
If you’re interested in trying something new outside the normal meditation, Reiki, yoga or any other practice that focuses on energy then give this a try.
You may find this to be helpful in adding to your current practice or perhaps just learn about another energy healing technique. I did find that I was able to get into a meditation state faster with this energy flow. It also felt different perhaps because I was more aware of the energy around me.
I’m sure there are people who will be skeptical and question it which is good. It’s better to experience things for yourself to develop your own opinion. But you won’t know unless you try as to whether or not it will work for you.
If you do try it let me know what you experience by leaving a comment below.
I wish you peace and guidance on your journey. Take care and be well.
